- Who is the Church today?
- The following are the nominees: Adrian Alford, Peter Arnold, Lyn Edwards, Judy Horne, Les Johnson, Harry Stanton, Des Thomas, Steph Tindall, Steve Tindall, Carly Welsh, Peter Welsh. The Deacons are elected for a three year term by church members and the election will take place, by secret ballot, on Thursday 3rd November at a Church meeting at The Haven Church. Please consider this voting process prayerfully. Nominees will need to have the votes of 75% of those members who vote, to be elected.
- There will be NO SERVICE AT THE SCHOOL as we unite with other churches in the town. Meet at the War Memorial by the castle at 10.45, followed by a service at St Mary’s Church.
- Pennar Community Church (10:00am to 4:00pm) Richard Hardy, Senior Pastor from Albany Baptist Church in Cardiff will be running this workshop. Sharing the gospel with a non-Christian can be a scary thought, even though we know it shouldn’t be. Most Christians know that they should witness but lack the confidence to do so. They assume that you have to be something you’re not! This event aims to set you free to do mission your way and to be a credible witness in everyday situations. The cost per ticket is only £3, as the event is being subsidised by Pennar Community Church and the Association. Please also bring a packed lunch if you’re joining us. Teas, coffees and light refreshments will be provided.
- Time - 5:30pm for 6:00pm. at the Coach House, Pembroke. Enjoy an evening of Church family fellowship at this special time of year. Menu available from Harry (687915) or Dave (684217). Spaces are limited to 60 so please book early.
- A series of 6 toolbox workshops commencing Monday, 26th September at Johnston Baptist Church from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (monthly till March 2017). These workshops are designed to help Pembrokeshire churches respond to the big challenge of mission in our own community The first one is titled “We are the Church”. Please speak to Des Thomas if you are able to attend.
